I am willing to buy a new imac, moving from a macbook which really served me great...but things has to be changed..

The thing is that I have around 2000$, and I am thinking about getting the new imac 27" i7 3.4ghz..(Refurbished from Apple)..
I know I'll have to wait, but the question is for how long?

or should I just go and buy the 27" i7 2.93ghz imac and forget about the sandy bridge..?

Mostly it'll be gaming, normal photo editing, watching hd videos...

so the question is...is the sandy bridge really worth the ~400$..?
and is it a really big difference between the 2.93 and 3.4 (both i7)?

I know you guys will tell me that my demands are minimal compared to the imacs...but I'm not buying a computer in the next coming years so I will depend on this now and in the future, and I really want an i7 and a 1g graphics card.

Plz help...

The graphics card in the new high end model is worth waiting for if you play games.

thats what I was thinking...
but the thing is, if I bought the previous gen imac I might squeeze an ipad 2 in there..what do you think?
