Ok,

Longtime Mac user, day 1 iPhone user...

If the iPhone is unable to pull up any information like stock quotes and things without going onto a wifi network, what does that mean? Do you have to get on wifi networks for everything?

And also, what is Apple's dead pixel policy when it comes to the iPhone? I have one front and center.

Thanks!

You can get stock quotes and "things" without being on wifi. Will work with wifi or edge or 3G.

Then maybe what I'm learning is that 3G is slow, because it's been reading, "Retrieving Chart," when I click on stock quotes, for over ten minutes now.

3G seems to be fine for other things...just not the weather app or the stock app.

stocks app and wx app are fubar at the moment... what yer seeing isn't normal.

Other threads are discussing this.

I would return the phone to the store for another.
