iPod 2 different ipods, 2 different users- 1 computer

Hello - be gentle I am an ipod virgin ! Having been very generous to my daughter and boyfriend they are now the owners of ipods. How do I set up so tyey can each have there own playlistst/synchs ,itunes , buy their own music etc . I read some 'help' but whta I see on the screen doesn't match the guides.
Really simple guide/language please ! Many thanks in anticipation

Give them their own user accounts.

I don't think you'd want to give your daughter an administrator account though.

I did this a few months ago, I have 4 different user accounts. 3 have their own iTunes playlists. It makes it much easier. You can also share playlists which I did once. It works but it is a duplicate and takes up space.
