Hello,

I have
- a mid-2009 Macbook Pro (Intel Core 2 Duo, GeForce 9400m), DisplayPort
- and 2 recent 24' LCD Screens (VGA)

I am currently using 1 external screen, connected through DisplayPort/VGA adapter.

-> I want to be able to connect 2 External Monitors, ideally through Matrox splitter.

The Matrox website recommends to buy the "Matrox DualHead2Go DP" (displayport) or "ME". But they are much more expensive that the "Matrox DualHead2Go Digital Edition", that i can get very easily second hand.

Does anyone knows whether it will work if :
- I buy a MatroxDualHead2Go Digital Edition
- use a DisplayPort-to-VGA/or DVI adapters as an input to the splitter
- use two DVI-to-VGA adapters outputs from the splitter (assuming the output of the splitter is DVI - depends on versions)

I have gone through a lot of confusing discussions about that, so just want to know whether it sohuld work / and whether someone is currently using the same setup

Thanks for the help !

Or any alternative solution to plug 2 external monitors on a mid-2009 MBP ?
(without having to buy 2 apple cinema display..)
