I searched for this. Everyone says it's possible but all have thunderbolt supporting iMacs. I bought my 27" before they came with thunderbolt but I'd stil like to have 2 external displays. Is it possible? I already have one and I'd like to add another?

Without a thunderbolt port there is no easy / good way of doing it. You can use some kind of splitter or usb video connection but it will not look great.

I used to use one of those on a MacBook with a damaged miniDVi connection. It works, but USB bandwidth cannot handle fluid video, so even fast window dragging would lag and skip. Video was impossible. Works for web browsing or like a projector for PowerPoint though.
