2 external monitors via Thunderbolt?

Is it possible to do this? I have two DVI/VGA/HDMI capable monitors I want to hook my 2011 MBA up to ... does thunderbolt work that way? What do I need to buy exactly?

Is it also possible to get some sort of 'dock' thunderbolt adapter where I can hook up a keyboard/mouse as well?

Someone recently posted in the Macbook Pro forum that they had success using a Mini-Displayport to Dual-HDMI adapter:

However it makes them show up as one large continuous monitor to the Mac.

There's also the Matrox DualHead2Go adapter which performs a similar function:

DualHead2Go Digital ME is pricey @$140!

That other device might not work ... I would want them extended, or if I close the lid, main + extended.
