2 finger secondary click (double-tap) issue

I recently bought a second hand MBA. It's in fantastic condition and except for the following issue seems perfect.

I've found that quite often when I double-tap (to right click) I get no result, and I need to double-tap a second time. It's as if the first double-tap just isn't registered.

I've been testing it just now and it seems to work perfectly, even with a gentle tap. But I'm pretty sure I'm double-tapping the exact same way I usually do.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is this because of a delayed input response for avoiding unintentail tapping... or something similar? Anyone have any ideas?

As with trying something new, you never get it right the first time. When you're conscious of an action you generally do it wrong than doing it instinctively.

Bet you can't live without that 2-finger right click now
