Hi,

I got my 2.2 GHz, 1 GB RAM (512 MB +512 MB) White MacBook an year ago and I would like to upgrade it's RAM to 4 GB (2 GB + 2 GB) now.

Any suggestions where and which one to get? By the way, I'm in India now and had inquired with some of the Apple dealers over here including Reliance iStore. Surprisingly the price varies from INR 2300 to INR 4000 for a Transcend 2 GB RAM with different dealers.

I would like to know whether this Transcend RAM is good enough for my MacBook? The vendor says, performance wise it is minor less than what Apple supplied Samsung RAM also the Samsung RAM would cost around INR 8000.

Is it OK to go for Transcend RAM?

whatever you end up getting don't go with stock apple ram it is much too expensive
