Hei guys wassup!

I've got a friend who as a Mac Pro late 09 with 2 graphic cards

Two Quick questions.

1 - Since he has installed 2 graphic cards (CTO), do they work simultaneously already?

2 - If not, what does he have to do?

Thanks a bunch guys.

1) Nope.
2) They can only run simultaneously on Windows. The reason you'd usually get two cards is if you wanted to power a lot of displays.

So...it isn't possible to have a 1Gb out of two 512 Mb graphic cards?

really? fu** and i told him to buy 2 graphic cards because of HD video editing

So why do we have the possibility of putting more than one graphic card? so that we can have more than one monitor?

Isn't anyway of having 2 graphics linked as one?

Yep. 3 connectors each, 6 displays total. Or one card dedicated to each display.

Not under OS X, no. The 5870 is the better option as it's about as powerful as two 5770's anyway.
