Hi all.

Long time peruse'r and have enjoyed MR and the insights from all the contributers.

I will be buying the new Mac Pro when it comes out.

I wanted to ask if it is the same to put boot camp/Win7 on its own hard drive as it is on a partition?

I want OSX to be on the native drive it comes on but load windows on the 2nd harddrive and use each as their primary drive. Is this as simple as see it?

Thanks for your help.

You don't need Boot Camp Assistant for this kind of configuration. but everything else goes similarly.

Some folks have even removed their OS X drive while doing the Windows install so as to reduce the chances of confusion during the install.

Since you will be doing it on a "new Mac Pro" stick with W7 64 bit so you get the EFI compatibility.
