I have an old iphone 4s that has a sim card that i use for cell. I'm in Mexico but from the USA. I use telcel here. I also have an iphone SE but that does not have a sim card and i will be getting a sim card for it. The reason is because iphone 4s always has issues etc. Thus i wont be using the iphone 4s anymore.
I would like to backup my whatsapp chat history. I did this by clicking backup. However, my issue is the icloud account that i use with my iphone 4s, i created the icloud account for this iphone a long time ago. Also i didn't even put my real name on it back then.
The iphone SE, i put my real name and everything on it. I created a new apple id for this one. Is apple id and icloud the same or not? The thing is the email associated with my iphone SE and the older iphone 4s is not the same one. I have access to both emails.
I will be getting a sim card for the iphone SE and i will be asking them that i want to keep my same telcel number as oppose to getting a new number. I know this is possible because i read online this is and i believe i have to bring the other phone to verify its my number.
Now my question is, how do i make sure whatsapp dont have issues on my iphone SE? I have whatsapp installed on the iphone SE but i never activated anything mainly because i have no sim card there. It does ask for you to confirm phone number. First off, could i actually confirm it right now by putting my iphone 4s phone number that is used with whatsapp? Im assuming yes and if so, that means i can actually use whatsapp now on this iphone SE as well?
But since im getting a sim card for the iphone SE, do i set up whatsapp on the iphone SE after i get the sim card? Or should i confirm my number now on it first?
