I have a 3g (not altered not under contract) and a 3gs (not altered, under current contract), the 3g is my old phone and we use it via wifi in house for my daughter - youtube and the apps it had on it.
The 3gs is my replacement for the 3g and is a full active phone, the old 3g got lost for a bit and when we finally found it under the couch but it was dead and I couldn't get it to work with wifi after charging it up, so I hooked it up to itunes and did a full reset, got the wifi working again, but when I put the 3gs back into the itunes it's now trying to put the stuff off the old 3g onto the 3gs (under 3gs and apps it says sync with a checkbox), when i check that box it's showing all the apps and the structure the old 3g was setup with (not what my 3gs has on it).
I went to edit/preferences/devices and erased the 2 backups it showed, but after plugging in the 3gs again its still showing the 3g info under apps when I try to sync (I didn't do it because it appears it will change my 3gs to the apps of the 3g).
I hope this makes sense, do i need to reinstall itunes or something?
I don't normally plug in that old 3g even, but since I was having trouble with the wifi i thought I would just totally do a reset via itunes on it (got that all working fine again btw).
