iPod 2 iPods and 1 iTunes?

Is there a good way to do this?
I have two iPods. One iPod is a 5G iPod. The other is a mini.

I want the entire library on the 5G, but just a 4gb worth of the library on the mini.

I want to be able to choose which songs they are and still be able to make custom playlists for that iPod that will show up. The mini is more for exercise, so I would like to have 4gb of music plus the ability to sort those 4gb into different playlists, such as music for running, walking, assortments of different artists, etc...

Is there a good/available way to do this?

It should be easy to handle 2 iPods. I've got 3 working off iTunes and I haven't had problems with it.

Just set up each iPod in Itunes for manual management of music/etc. I'm at work, but if I recall correctly, you will have to uncheck the box for auto-syncing (which is checked by default). Hope this helps...

In preferences for the Mini have this option unchecked, as shown here..



Then you can manually drag and drop playlists and individual songs from your Library onto the iPod mini. For the 5G iPod simply have it set to autosync the entire Library.

Or make a (smart probably) playlist called "songs for Mini" which contains the songs for your iPod mini and only sync that to the iPod mini

Create a custom playlist for the songs you want only on your mini. When you sync the mini, you can just select that particular playlist.

i think this will do it, THANKS!,
the other two replies wont do what i want. they will get the songs i want on the ipod but i wont be able to have other playlists as well
