So i'm in week 3 of my new MBP 2.53. no physical flaws to speak of. No tech issues until the other night. i spent about an hour gaming and when i was done i closed the lid and put my MBP to sleep. (Generally i don't shut my Macs off ever. my G4 from 2003 is still running everyday it's never off as is my ibook and G5 from 2005.)
So i'm in bed trying to sleep and like a possessed demon my MBP lights up for a few seconds and goes out. This happened another 5 or 6 times. i was not counting the intervals between the light coming on or duration before it went off, but while closed the screen would come on and the apple logo would glow. on the last time during it light up i just opened the laptop and it was on as if it were a stubborn child refusing to go to sleep. i did a shut down and all seems fine.
i've also experienced 2 times both of which only lasted about a second where the screen broke out into a million red dots/pixels and then went away.
has anyone else experienced any similar issues?
