2 iTunes Library via internal & external ?

Is it possible to have 2 libraries in itunes? With the external showing up when its plugged and unmounts itself with its unplugged?
 
If you hold OPTION as you start up iTunes it gives you the choice of creating a new library or loading a library from a selected location. In iTunes 7 it's quite easy to have two libraries but I'm not aware of how to automate the process of switching between them other than by holding OPTION. :)
