2 Key commands are the same have the same result?

Hello

If you press

Apple - F

It brings up the 'Searching this mac' box

If you press

Option - Apple - Space bar

You get exactly the same result, the 'Searching this mac' box

Though I thought that typing in

Option - Apple - Space bar

Would bring up, Spotlight box??

I'm using 10.5.6

Option-Apple(Command)-Space is spotlight, in a window.

Apple(Command)-Space brings up the box in the corner ...

Apple+Spacebar brings up the Spotlight box.

Apple+F only brings up Searching this Mac if Finder is the current active application, where as Option+Apple+Space will bring it up always.
