1. Sometimes when I add stuff to the dock, it disipears from it a 1/2 hour later or so. (eg, added dreamweaver to dock, but not there anymore) How can I stop that?

2. The video/screen goes out sometimes. The monitor turns black for roughly 2 seconds before comming back to normal. I know my monitor is not acting funky as it doesn't do this with Windows. It happens at untimed intervals. Why does it do this?

Thanks!

What folder are you getting the icons from for the applications you are putting in the dock?

What machine, OS, RAM, video card etc. do you have?

I drag the icon right from the apps folder.

My system specs...

Mac mini 1.5 GHZ
512MB Ram
ATI Radeon 9200(I think)
80GB HD
Bluetuth / airport.

OK, both things are odd, then. If you are dragging the icons form the apps folder to the left hand side of the dock, then they should not be disappearing, as long as they are not aliases (with an arrow).

As far as your screen going black - not normal.

If the system is less than a year old, you oughta give AppleCare a ring. ;)

The Dock problem may be resolved by removing com.apple.dock.plist but the screen issue (assuming it's not just sleeping due to your Energy Saver settings) may be something AppleCare is interested in. :)
