I have an iMac and a Macbook air, I'd like to buy Timecapsule but don't want the iMAc to see or access the MAcbook air backed up data and vice versa, is it possible to password protect or segregate the 2 back up ?

I'm not sure why you want to do this, but you could partition the TC in two, and use one partition for the iMac, and the other for the MBA. Having said that it's unlikely that the imac and MBA backups would ever be confused...They are saved as sparse bundles and are clearly marked XXX"S iMac, and XXX's MBA. BUt if you want to, splitting the TC is an easy enough job.
thanks for the reply.
I want to do that as I have confidential information that I don't want to share with the other person set up on the time machine.
Does partition mean data will not be accessible by the other party ?
