Hi

Im at a complete loss and could do with some help please !

We have a Netgear router which has previously provided wireless access to 2 Macbooks, a Windows Netbook and a Wii. However, one of our Macbooks has developed airport issues. ( all other equipment works just fine )

Since installing Snow Leopard onto one of our Macbooks intermittent Airport issues occurred.... dropping connection, difficulty connecting on reboot etc which has culminated in now not being able to connect AT ALL. I have searched forum after forum and have tried all suggested fixes and had the pram reset by our local apple dealer which resolved the problem for 24hrs.

Airport can SEE our SSID but when I try and connect it tells me the password is invalid or that the connection has timed out. I KNOW the password is not incorrect and have reset it via the router more than once. I have tried all 13 channels on the router (even tho it works fine for my other macbook running OSX 10.5.8 on all 13 channels) and we are using WPA PSK security which I was advised was a :apple: mac preference. It doesn't matter if there are no other devices connected to the router.. it still wont access the network ( and the airport 'fan' is greyed out on the top bar

The apple dealer was not hugely helpful (its out of warranty) and I think he thought me inept rather than having a genuine problem. I had tried all the solutions he suggested!

I have tried new locations, entered the password in several places, deleted key chain information, checked where various folders are located, connected via ethernet cable ( successfully) and re-applied router settings even reinstalled Snow Leopard and it just wont work!

I would just send it away and pay to have anew airport card installed BUT.. it worked for 24hrs when he reset the pram! I clicked the lock and set it to request a password to make changes too when it was working BUT the lock was open when it failed to connect!

Interestingly, ( and I don't know if this is relevant.... we bought the mac in the UK but the apple dealer says it shows as a US machine on their databse.. that said it worked fine on the router for ages before we installed snow leopard)

Thanks for reading this far - and I hope you can help :)
