2 macs 1 thunderbolt dock

Do you think a Startech thunderbolt 1 dock would be able to use both ports and connect to an imac and a macbook pro retina at the same time without causing a really... crappy issue?

I'd want them to connect to each other and be able to use anything connected to them without making me puke..

That would be interesting to try.

I suspect whichever computer starts up first will negotiate the devices for itself and won't want to share, so the second computer won't connect to anything but the first computer, in a target disk mode thing.
