What if you connect your computer in an external display, give it a separate screen (not mirrored), and a keyboard in mouse? It's like using two computers, except you have only one.

Is that possible or not? How?

OSX is not set up to handle a multi-user setup which is what I think you're asking.

I have 2 mice on my computer, one wireless and one wired and there's only a single cursor.

Yes, that was what I was asking for. Is there any way to do it? What about other OSes?

Would that work with VMWare when a USB mouse is assigned to the virtual box ? And keep the Apple mouse for the host ?

I believe its possible to do this with Linux, I used solaris at work and its free counterpart should work (I'm not sure about it) but open solaris may be an option.
