2 mics = stereo sound for video?

Does anybody know if the 2 microphones on the iP4 could record sound in stereo while shooting video in landscape mode?

Good question. I wonder if the noise cancellation circuitry is before the signal is fed to the input section. If so, then the phone would only see the one monaural feed coming in. If, on the other hand, all the noise cancellation is done in software, then it might be possible. Of course, Apple's API would need to allow each mic's signal to be addressed individually.

No the iPhone 4 only records in mono. The other mic is purely for noise cancelling.
