2 months out, aptv4 apps stutter, needs rebooting.

I picked up an appltv 4th gen free from direct tv for their streaming service as I was cutting the chord. It worked beautifully from the start but lately when streaming video in an app it will immediately become a stutter fest eventually just sitting there with a frozen image. I can push out of the program and jumping in attempts to restart the stream but it falls apart immediately again. I pretty much use 3 apps on it, Tablo, Direct TV now, and Plex. At first restarting smoothed out but apparently tonight we needed to pull the power to fix it.

Some searches turned up the same issues about 8 months ago but not much now. Did we figure out what was going wrong or did people just jump to rokus?

Maybe try a complete reset of it and set it up like new again? I might be annoying to enter all of your passwords again but since you are only using three apps it shouldn't be to bad.

Is it running the latest tvOS? Check 'purchases' to see when you DTV app was updated also.
