So today I went to plug in my phone to my computer and two of my 3 USB ports on my 2010 unibody macbook pro dont work.

I tried plugging in a simple card reader with an indicator light to show power and the only port that the light lights up for is the one closest to the magsafe adapter. The lower two usb ports do nothing.

SOMEONE HELP ME

I reset my smu, and my pram, and neither worked. I check system profile and neither port shows up...

From reading online it seems that it could be my logic board. My question is, will apple cover a new logic board if im still under applecare???

or will this come out of my pocket!!

ANY HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Yes, as long as there isn't liquid damage, they'll replace it no problem.

Yeah, no liquid damage, but what if something i plugged into it shorted out and messed up the port? I have a powered USB hub and im worried that that may have shorted and messed it up, the hub isnt working anymore... seems like the kind of thing not ot mention to them at the genius bar...

well i guess the only way to find out is to go to the genius bar anyway lol
