Hi All,

Okay, so I have two problems currently with my 2007 MacBook Pro. First, In the last week or so I've experienced two-three random shut downs while just browsing the net (on firefox). The second is that my fan is running at 6,000 rpm or thereabouts for most of the time even though my laptop is not very hot (in the 40-55 degree range according to iStat Pro). Both these issues have only arisen recently and I'm currently abroad in Brazil so there is no Apple store I can take it to. Has anyone else had similar issues and if so, are there any solutions out there??

Thank you

Thanks for the advice. I did this but as soon as I turned it back on the fans were up and running at 6,000 rpm once again....

Any other ideas out there??
