2 Questions needing help with Mail and Wii

Have an iBook G4 w/ leapord.

Try to open mail, it comes up then quits after 3 seconds. Tried repair permissions, but nothing works. Recommendation on what to try?

Try to connect my Wii wirelessly using password to protect it, but will not connect. Does the iBook use different security than what a Wii will recognize?

Thanks for any help.
