2 Quick Questions About Memory For MBP

I'm about to order a new MBP but there's some questions:


1. Will I notice any difference in performance between an Apple SSD and an Intel 320 SSD?
All I do except the usual is some gaming and a little Photoshop.

2. Are TimeMachine backups compressed?
I've got a HDD with backups on it and thought that I might figure out how much space I used on my last Mac by checking the last backup?

1. Not likely, although the Intel is faster on paper.

2. No, AFAIK it's 1:1.
