Hi.. I recently got my Macbook Pro and got 2 small questions..

1. Apple says, we can only charge the Macbook pro for 1000 times and then the battery will be dead ?
Is that true ?
Again, we have to spend on buying a battery ?

2. I restored everything from my iMac to the new Macbook pro. Here is my doubt.

I work on iMac in the office . And I take time machine backup at the end of each day, when it calculates the changes and stores it.

So, is there a way, I can restore those changes to my macbook pro, when I get back to home with the time machine drive ?

The battery will slowly hold less and less charge, but all devices that use a rechargeable battery experience this. It's nothing specific to Apple computers.

As far as I know, a backup is specific to the machine that is backed up from. If you have files that you want to copy to your home computer, get another hard drive and use it for transferring your data.

No, Apple does not say that. Apple says:
The built-in battery in the new 13-, 15-, and 17-inch MacBook Pro is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at up to 1000 full charge and discharge cycles.
This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions: Apple Notebook Battery FAQ
