I saw this on a thread I read yesterday, and thought it was a brilliant idea. Someone put 4 vinyl bumpers on their iPhone and it protected the back from scratches. I personally hate using cases, but this proved to be a great option to keep both my iPad and iPhone scratch free. The best part is you still get the great lightness and aluminum feel of these devices, and it costed about $2 usd. Here are some attached photos of what this looks like on an iPad 3 and iPhone 5. I probably should have gotten thinner ones, but I think they are okay anyway. Let me know your opinions, and if you think this is a good idea!

Edit: Sorry about the sub-par image quality. The only thing I have with me to take photos with is my old iPhone 4 because my other camera died.

imo thats a great option for people who like their phones "naked." Although you would have 4 ugly little dots on your device, it would protect against scratches from flat areas.
