Hi community,

So first post, greetings to all.

Finally my rMBP arrived two weeks ago. I ordered it one month ago and until the Mac arrived I was reading every day the macrumors. Very good job by the admins and the forum members.

I had a mac mini two years ago, along with my 5 year sony vaio (with linux mint). I sold the mac mini one and a half year ago and decided to order a more powerful machine to have it along side with my vaio. In my Work I use linux as main OS (I am a web dev). But for house work I decide to order a mac.

To the point. I have two problems. First my mac disconnect from my wLan (the well known problem) when I close the lid and leave it for 30 minutes. I read and tried all the solutions ( change router settings, turn off bluetooth and so on). Now every time I log in again, first I tried to connect to one free wifi provided by telekom ( I live in Germany) and then instantly, I change to my wLan... That is not a clear solution but.... bahhh it is working. I am going to update my DSL, so I am waiting the new modem-router to try.

Second, the hdmi. I have the base model without the nvidia card. The first time I connected to my TV (a LG TV) the screens goes black (both computer and "No signal" TV). I plugged out the hdmi cable and then I got a grey screen says that the computer is going to restart in 5(?) languages. And restarts. The mac is doing it in every hdmi screen I plug it in only the first time....This is so strange.

I think/hope this is probably a software and not hardware problem, so I am waiting for the upcoming OSX => and my new router to further try..

Anyone else with these problems??

Beyond these two problems, the machine is amazing. Great battery, screen and performance...I am more than pleased!!!
And one more thing...I found a external HD with parallels 6 I think. I have bought it with my mac mini for Mountain Lion...I wish I could make it work because I need Ubuntu VM (even 12.04)

Regards
Stefanos
