2 weeks delivery updated to Delivers 9/21

Anyone else who ordered last night and got 2 weeks delivery get their ship date bumped up to 9/21? Just checked my order status and mines now shows 9/21. :)
 
Ooo, good for you! I didn't get my order into Apple until 12:30 or so. It still says 2 weeks but I'd be really happy if they moved it up! Otherwise, I'll manage the wait, haha.

I got both of mine ordered by 3:20 EDT with Sept 21 date.

You have confirmed an earlier news story that Apple bumped the date to 2 weeks to keep the store's website from crashing.

The story said there was no way Apple was out of phones in one hour.

Your experience and the fact that the carriers' sites lasted much longer sort of proves the rumor to be correct.

Ordered from the app around 12:05, couldn't complete order and was waiting for an e-mail to continue, got the e-mail and proceeded and saw 2 weeks shipping all the sudden. Slept it off and woke up to release date delivery!

You sir may have the most important thread on Page 1. What time did you order? When did Apple show your order as processing with the date of the 21st? Meaning when you ordered and it said two weeks was it when Apple set your order as being processed that it showed the 21st? Or did they go as far as to tell you two weeks, show as a processing delivery date of Oct.5th and then change it to the 21st? Any info would be great!

I completed my order at 1:30am PT. I did however receive a "reservation confirmation" email first at 12:30am though when trying to pre-order from the appstore app.


Dear Apple Customer,

Your iPhone has been reserved and your reservation number is: BXXXXXXXXXX

We will email when we’re able to reach the carrier systems. The email will include instructions to complete your order as well as the return link. You will have 24 hours from the time the email is sent to return to the Apple Online store to proceed with your order. I was then able to finally checkout at 1:30am PT through the apple website.

After ordering, all I saw was delivery 2 weeks. Never showed delivery date of any kind. This morning, when I checked the status did it update to show processing with delivery date of 9/21.
 
Gotcha. So no change of any date at the processing stage. That's what I'm hoping for as I have been given the dreaded Oct.5th date. Thanks!

Email to Complete Order @ 1:31AM PDT
Completed Order @ 6:00AM PDT
Order Status: 2 Weeks
Updated @ 10:45AM PDT - Order Status: Delivery 9/21
 
Ordered mine at right at 6am EST and it's still showing a delivery date of 10/5. Hopefully that changes, but I'm not holding my breath. Seems to be unthinkable though that they sold through their initial stock in 3 hours.

Um...I ordered my at exactly 4:38am Eastern and have the Oct 5 delivery date.

2:35am Central time. ordered white 16gb at&T off apple store
3:06am central time. I paid and got the 2 weeks shipping date.
3:23pm central time. Got the email saying i'll get it on launch day.
