20" Cinema Display not working!

I am working on a last gen MacBook Pro 15", and I just got a 20" Aluminum bezel Apple Cinema Display.

I've plugged it in via DVI, and while the white indicator light is activated on the display, the screen remains black and the computer does not recognize the display. It does not show up in Sys Prefs. No option for mirroring etc.

Tried restart, tried unplugging and have a re-go... nothing working.

Anyone else experience the same thing or have any advice?

You tried hitting "detect displays" under displays preferences?
Just wondering.
