i have been checking in with my local Comp USA for the 20" cinema displays. They haven't had but one open box in stock. After asking if they had any on order, i found that they have been on order for a long time, but none have made it to the store.

is it possible that there is a shortage? or a product revision soon?

Nope. Look at the Apple Store online. Says they ship same day.

Hob,

Regarding your latest blog post (about similarities between Oasis and The Beatles) - it's well known Oasis model themselves *very* heavily on The Beatles. Sorry to be off-topic everyone!

andy.

turns out... they are so freaking popular.. that they sell practically instantly.

well, comp USA finally had 2 in... i picked one up, it is beautiful.
the whites are white! WOW! it is a much higher quality screen than my old 15" ADC studio display

CompUSA or Mac User Hell (opinion shared by many), Is infamous for having low stock on Apple Products more often than not, from iPods (Ya' I know everyone is short on them) to many higher end/Pro products... Honestly for those out there experiencing shortages BUY ONLINE At APPLE.COM or go to another specialist, like Expercom Shortages at CompUSA are no "Tell-Tell Signs" for upcoming Apple products.

That is for sure.

I just went to CompUSA just recently. They still had a eMac 1.25GHz and I asked the sales rep. about it and he said that they discontinued the eMac line. Of course, I proved him wrong by pulling up the www.apple.com/emac website. They had PowerBook G4 1.33GHz for the same price as the latest revision. Still had 1.8 Dual PowerMac.

I really wasn't shocked. CompUSA just is horrible, very $$pricey$$, and treat there customers like shi*.

That's just my two cents.
