20" iMac + 26" Sylvania LCD TV

Hi,
I need help connecting my cheap Sylvania TV to my iMac. I already bought all necessary cables. But can't figure out how to get Dual Monitors to work. I want to get them both to work in extended. I believe the Sylvania is 720P, not to sure (Pretty Sure).
