20" imac dvd ripping

how good is a 20"imac 2.66 ghz with 2gb of ram at dvd ripping? I just finished ripping a dvd from my collection but the cpu got pretty got hot the temp was hovering around 188 degrees Fahrenheit, that seems a little high for me. Do i need more ram or is that normal for when your ripping dvd?

hi temp is normal for transcoding

cpu is fine for very hi temps as long as its not for whole days or something

hd is more of a problem but u should be fine

if u are doing 100s of DVDs maybe u can use smcfancontrol
