i have only seen the 20inch imac a few times but i was wondering how it compares to the 20 inch cinema display? it terms of picture, brightness and response time.

It's not as good as a stand alone display. Both the 20" Cinema and 20" Widescreen Dell will significantly outperform it.

I've heard people say its not quite as good at the Cinema display, but the ones I've seen in the store still look excellent.
I have both a 20" iMac and a 20" Dell Widescreen. It's like night and day. The Dell is so much brighter. And Plus the dell has a composite and s-video inputs.
Aren't they all actually the same panel? I read somewhere that LG is the only manufacturer of 20" Widescreen LCD panels.
i believe the apple 20 and dell 20 both use the same panel ( LG ) but iam not sure.. i am curious which panel the imac 20 has.. any one know?
