20" iMac too hot running Logic Pro 7?

I have a 20" iMac, fully loaded with 2G memory, about 2 months old.

Trying to run Logic Pro 7 but getting up to 88 degree C temps according to the mini CPU heat widget.

Logic is running into problems with even 12 track pieces.

Funny thing is my G4 Powerbook (1GHz) can run Logic no problem.

Any ideas?

Yes. The room temp is about 23 C.
