Hello all.

I have recently done a couple of 20 second short clips (.mov) that I want to turn into animated gifs on a website. I've tried a lot of things but they just don't work. I've used Quicktime Pro and have converted them into "IMAGE SEQUENCES" with more than 600 png files. I have been reading that you can't animate png files and I don't have photoshop/imageready to try that route. I've tried some things like gifninja and other sites but they have a cut off for how many files you can upload. I've tried conversions websites like zamara but they just send me 600 gif files and I don't have a software to upload them to. Any type of help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Yes, you can animate png. Problem is that there's not too many browsers yet supporting it.
Why gif? Get Joboshare and convert it to <cough> flash.

You also can use GIMP to animate your 600 gifs, but don't forget that gif has a very limited amount of available colors (256 IIRC).
