Have a first gen iPad 64gb with 3G. Is $200 the best I can expect, or has anyone received more for this model?

Would think you would need to go check on it yourself. Most of the trade ins are on a per case base. Since they look for any issues, scratches and such.

This.

Also, I think the $200 is based on the iPad (1st Gen) 16gb Wifi only. You may get more for a higher model.

no. $200 is for ANY generation ipad, but no one is going to bring a 4th gen just for $200. you'd be lucky to get $200 for any spec 1st gen ipad.

That is incorrect. Their site says AT LEAST $200. For example, I just did a quote for a 4th Gen 16gb LTE and was quoted $265.

One note, it has been stated by others who have done this that the store quotes and online quotes vary.

And to be totally honest, since the 1st generation iPad is now obsolete and stuck on iOS 5, a 1st gen 64GB 3G model isn't actually worth but only about $10-20 more than the 1st gen 16GB Wi-Fi model is today anyway. Just take the $200 and run while you can get it from Target.

You can get about $450 at Game Stop. I got $353 in store credit, plus they'll give you another 30% of that if you buy a used game (less than $10). Granted, it's all store credit, but they sell gift cards and I use iTunes so I get iTunes gift cards for myself.

I was talking about in store.

It still says AT LEAST $200. You stated that it was $200 no matter which model it was.

This is the route I went. I got Amazon gift cards that will be used for gifts or buying stuff for our baby that is on his way.

that is what the target rep doing the transaction told me when I traded in my 1st gen 16GB wifi. there was a woman trading in a 32GB 3g in front of me which netted her the same $200.

Right why is there a confusion about this? Normal target trade in values apply too. A 4th gen 64 would command more than 200 on Targets normal trade in value. So any gen you would at LEAST get 200. Amazing for folks trying to trade in the 1st gen.

I traded my 1st gen 64gb today, quick and easy $200 ( which is about $50 more than can be expected) no seller fees, no shipping fees.

Was like saying goodby to an old friend for the last 3+ years.

Went I to the target down the way and got a 64gb iPad air and a leather case.

You'd be lucky already that target offers $200 for that iPad. If that's not what you want to sell it for then sell on craigslist.
