I'm a drummer and have been wanting to hook my drums up to my computer. I plan to buy a new Mac Pro in august so I can finally move my G5 to my drums but I have not looked into any music apps for years since I gave up trying to figure out a way to move everything. So would it be a waste to use my old G5 in my drum area because current apps won't run on my G5? I don't mind buying the old apps if they are cheaper then current ones. Mainly I want to make some use of my soon to be old G5 and record my drumming. Plus if anyone has advice on some apps and equipment I may need that would be great! I want to go cheap while still making it all sound well, this is a hobby. I'm a video editor so I mainly put my money into video.
