2006 1.1 Mac Pro as a Music/Media Center?

I have an old 2006 1.1 Mac Pro that isn't worth much but I was thinking that it could be converted into a Music or a Media Center. I know that a Mac Mini would be a better choice but have any of you done this or know if it is possible to do?

Exactly how I use mine. 2x2.66 dual cores, 8gb mem, ati 5770. Plays back everything, 1080p mkv, 24bit flac, with ease. Just get hdmi and optical out into your receiver and go nuts. Wireless mouse and a few Tb of HDD's.
