Tax time is here again and I'm wanting to upgrade my trusty iMac..

20" iMac 2GHz Intel Core Duo
2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
1 TB Western Digital (WDC WD10EACS-00ZJB0)
MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-846 <--- no longer works
ATI Radeon X1600 128MB
External Pioneer DVR-115D
External Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk 2TB (used for Time Machine)
Aluminum wired extended keyboard w/num. pad
Original wired keyboard
MS Optical Wheel Mouse (USB)
Original Remote

Basically it's a stock machine with only the hard drive and memory upgrades.

It's in excellent condition. Smoke free home. No dead pixels. No scrapes, no scuffs, no scratches.

Is $700(OBO) asking too much?

Check Mac2Sell, eBay, or Amazon for prices of equivalent models, to get an idea of what you may be able to charge.

The computer itself is $300-450 according to ebay. Macofalltrades seems to be asking around $500 with a smaller hard drive, but obviously retailers warranty them for a few months post sale. Powermax is asking closer to your number, but they're always severely overpriced. I don't get why anyone would pay this much for such an old computer without a warranty. When it starts to approach the cost of a new one, I don't see the point. If the display still looks good in terms of uniformity and color, it will be easier to sell.
