2006 White Macbook - HDD died, current era SSDs ok to install?

Hello,

My mother's HDD in her White 2006 Macbook died. Gone for good. I'm thinking of replacing the dead HDD w/ an SSD, since she doesn't have need for a massive amount of space. I know the bus speed will be limited, but I just wanted to be sure if I bought one of these, they would work:

LOL i have those 2 exact SSD's. The sandisk is in an HP HDX, and the crucial M4 is in my macbook 2,1 mid 2007.

Works AMAZING. blazing fast, and stable as hell. runs perfect. not to full potential obviously since its sata I machine and sata III drive obviously.

both are great SSD's, crucial is a little faster though.
