I have a mid 2006 white macbook with 2G ram. I bought a household upgrade pack for Snow Leopard for the macbook and my late 2008 iMac but haven't had the guts to upgrade either. My dilemma with the macbook is that while leopard is installed--legally I am 99% sure as a household upgrade at the time (I bought it used from my friend's dad)--I only have the Tiger disks, so I am afraid if I have to go back it will be a hassle. I fear battery life and overheating issues if I upgrade. But I really want to upgrade...

Only if you want increased speed and all of the new Open CL applications to come.
