2007 17" Macbook worth trade?

I have a nice MacBook Pro, but wouldn't mind another just to have around for non essential stuff, and Word editing. I have a PC up for sale or trade, worth about 150. and a guy wrote to offer me this Macbook. 2007, Intel Core 2 Duo maxed out with 4 GB of RAM. He's installed El Capitan on it.

He's going to replace the battery, which isn't working, but after that, I'm thinking I will go for it. I was hoping to get any thoughts you might have on this. Thank you in advance for any replies.

Old PCs are junk. 17" macbooks are collectors items.

Yes that 17 in MacBook Pro is a collectors item but a hacked install of El Cap won't run really well on it unlike the Mac Pro the video card isn't supported. Trust me I tried it on mine other then that great deal
