So I currently own a 2010 MBP and i love it but I've also considered buying a Desktop with dual monitors to help get work done faster.

In my search for a desktop I came across a legitimate source that was updating to newer macs, and they offered me this.

Mac Pro Model #A1186
2x Dual-Core Intel Xeon 2.66 Ghz processors
250 GB hard drive
2 GB memory(using 4/8 Slot)
DVD/CD-RW
NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB

Accessories
1 ) 20" LCD Apple Cinema A1081 monitor ( or for $100 More i can get a 21" LCD Eizo Color Edge CE210W from them )
1 ) keyboard and mouse
1) Wiped Clean but Includes CD's for Tiger 10.4.9 operating system

Price for all of that $400-475

Question #1 - Should i buy one for personal use at that price?

Question #2 - What do you think its worth?

Question #3 - What year do you think it is, from my research I came to the conclusion of late 2007?

Question #4 - Do you think i should purchase a few extra to Flip and sell on Craigslist ( to help me pay for the one I'd be purchasing +School )

Edit * Question #5 - These are completely wiped, will i have any problem installing Tiger 10.4.9 operating system from the disks they are including? ( Sorry i'm new to Macs, Hooked since i purchased my MacBook Pro )

Sorry for the wall of text and multiple questions i threw out there.

Thanks much

Yeah, that's definitely a good deal. You would want to add more RAM and hard drives as you need, but overall a very good deal. The computer itself is worth almost $1000, so I would consider buying two, keeping the second monitor and selling the other computer with mouse and KB for enough to cover the cost of both. That way you would basically be getting it for free, aside from upgrades.

It's a 2006/2007 model btw.

Awesome! Thanks a bunch for the fast reply!

I have access to 12 of them, Should i be greedy? ( I beleive they are selling to a recycling company the ones i do not purchase )

If you decide not to advantage of this deal then please let me know because I am interested! It sounds like a great deal. Again, like the previous poster said, you could probably sell the pro for a lot more than that.

Thanks, and I will keep you posted.
