I just bought a mac pro from 2007. it won't turn on at all. I don't get nothing from the power supply. The guy i bought it from told me the power supply had a burning smell and one day just stop coming on. I did take the power supply out and open it up but can't find anything that was hot or even was burning. With it plug into the 120 volt outlet i tested for +5 volt power on rail and i have nothing. So i am lost on figuring out if the power supply bad or what. Does anybody know where i can get the pinout for the power supply? Thanks.

I bought a brand new power supply off eBay this morning. Guy told me it was new old stock and the power supply was never used. He did test it and it does work. I took the heatsinks off and clean them up and put new paste on them. So just got to wait until the power supply gets here.

I installed the new power supply and it works now. Took the old one apart and the board had a burnt spot on it under the transformer. Now waiting for the video card. Thanks all that help.

Let us know how you get on with the video card.
