Hi all,
My dear - getting a bit older but still does an excellent job - Macbook Pro (2007 model Core 2 Duo 2,16 GHz) is having startup issues.
Normally I don't turn it off but put it to sleep and restart it once a month or so.
When leaving for a holliday I normally do turn it off. Lately it doesn't want to start up anymore after being turned off for a few days. It does try to start up; the hard drive starts running and the optical drive makes some noise but I don't gett any chimes or screens. After googling a bit I tried the smc reset and this works, but the issue keeps reoccuring.
It is not a real big problem since I normally don't turn my Macbook off very often but I'm a bit worried that one day it won't start up anymore or that more issues occur.
Anybody has any idea what's wrong? I have replaced the memory, the hard drive and the battery (twice) but that's more than a year ago.
Appreciate any input!!
