How many load cycles was the 2007 macbook supposed to be able to handle before it started to lose life?

I've used mine constantly since I received it in October of 2007. I bought the low end white macbook. Here is what coconutBattery is telling me:

My dashboard widget (something pro, forgot the name) says the same thing.

Was it supposed to last 900+ loadcycles? I'm just now starting to notice battery loss but it still last me a good 3 or so hours just web browsing, even watching netflix doesn't seem to drain the battery.

I believe you've actually exceeded the useful life of your battery - to be getting that much time out of it with that many cycles is impressive!

I have 265 cycles on my battery and I'm getting roughly 4 hours of web browsing on it with just google chrome and a few PDFs open in preview open (screen brightness set to one notch).

you have done well with that battery this is my netbook's after nearly 2 years

p.s. that dose say i have done -1 load cycles and my mac is 24475 months old (yes it's a hackintosh)

I think the battery "life" (how many charges) is awesome... apple says the "new" macbook's/mbp's batteries can take up to 1000 charges... where is the improvement to the current one, except battery life (how long it lasts on one charge)? What did they "say" the old ones are going to last??
