2008 iMac replace DVD with Hard Drive

I have a 2008 iMac 24" with a 120gb agility 3 SSD. I want to add a hard drive to allow dual boot for windows without partitioning my SSD. I think the DVD is PATA so I guess I need an IDE drive. Is there an adapter to allow the disk to fit where the DVD is? Will a 3.5" drive fit? Any problem booting from the disk?

Do I need a cable adapter?

I am thinking one of these would work. It does the conversion from PATA (IDE) to a 2.5" SATA drive. Probably slower than SATA but good enough to just run games in Windows I think.
